Affiliate Marketing for Beginners

The affiliate marketing strategy I used to generate the affiliate earnings is called Launch Jacking with YouTube. Launch Jacking is the method by which you promote products that are not yet released. Basically, its like Affiliate marketing but by using unreleased products.

 Launch Jacking with YouTube videos means achieving a very high ranking in YouTube for the search query of a certain product that has just been launched or is in the process of being launched. You literally hijack the search engine results for that particular term! As a result, you generate free traffic to your video and people end up buying this product through your affiliate link. This method works even for new Youtube Channels because the competition will be very little in comparison to promoting products that have been on the market for a longer period of time.

Step 1: Find a Product to Promote from Upcoming Launches

Use this free website to find such products. They have an updated inventory of all the product launches from JvZoo, ClickBank and WarriorPlus.

Here is the first bonus tip to make money with YouTube affiliate marketing. 
Select a product from the left column which says big launches. These products are most likely created by people who have had success in the past.

This next bonus tip, will increase your chances in ranking on YouTube. For each of these products type the name followed by review and see how many videos are out there.

Select a product that has no videos or few videos already. So even if you have a small YouTube channel your video will show up here if you follow the next steps I am about to show.

Step 2 Create a Review Video

In my experience review videos convert better than any other type of videos. You can ask for a review copy of the product from the vendor or If you know that the product is high-quality you can even just go over the sales page and get more information.

Step 3: Optimize Video for Ranking

This is the most important step to make this affiliate marketing strategy work. You need to optimize your video for the YouTube search engine when you upload the video to YouTube. You need to use specific keywords in your video title, description and tags. Again, this is an area I have covered in depth previously.

Of course If you don’t want to go through that hassle, you can use Video Marketing Blaster to automatically generate title, description and tags so that your video can rank on the first page of YouTube.  

Step 4: Add The Affiliate Link to The Video

Most people add the affiliate link to the video description but there are several other ways to add affiliate links to videos.

Step 5: Promote the Video (For Early Engagement)

After creating and uploading your video, you will want to promote it, so that you can get some early engagement. Early engagement will help you rank a lot better, so this is really important! 

With this bonus tip you might even be able to get some early sales doing this, so don’t skip this step!
You need to promote this video to people that are already interest in the area of the product. This increase the chances of someone buying after watching your video because they find a need to use the product.

So where do you find such people ? One of the best ways to promote your video is use Facebook groups. Find related Facebook groups to your affiliate product and join them. Most Facebook groups don’t allow sharing a direct affiliate. So the good thing is you are not directly sharing your link. You are sharing a YouTube video and most groups allow that if you don’t spam.

One Facebook post will not generate that much of views which also means the money you will make will be low. You need to post on multiple groups and that’s time consuming.

By using a tool like this, you can just select the groups that you want to publish your message and send it out. You can post to multiple facebook groups at once. If you want you can have multiple facebook accounts as well. To avoid the ban they have features like unique ids. If you want to repeat the posts you can schedule it for a later time. The pricing low compared to other products out there. You can usually cover this amount with 1 or 2 affiliate sales.  To me, the investment is worth while verses the time I have to spend If I go promote these manually on Facebook. So the decision is up to you. 

Step 6  Get People to Buy with Your Affiliate Link by Offering Bonuses

One of the biggest issues most affiliate struggle with is that nobody buys from their link. When there are multiple affiliates promoting the same product why should someone buy from your link ? 
If you are offering bonuses, but everybody else isn’t, then most people will buy through you. Likewise, if everyone else is, but you aren’t then you will get little sales. You can also add these bonuses to your title which will increase the CTR. So, that’s another advantage of adding bonuses. 

You can give away courses, software, ebooks. You can use PLR Site like this. PLR (Private Label Rights) products are digital products that can be in the form of an ebook, software, online course videos, value-packed articles, etc. The best thing about PLR products is that you can sell them as your own. In this case, you can give away some of these products for buying through your affiliate link. This site is free to register.

Step 7  Repeat Steps 1 to 6  For More Products!

To succeed with this affiliate marketing strategy, do as many launches as you can. This will increase your chances of ranking on YouTube and ultimately make you more money.

Don’t stop just because you haven’t ranked for one or two launches. You will want to consistently do as many as possible. Eventually, you will rank for quite a few and you will be able to make some nice profits.
